  1. Malaya What If

Hmm I'd the .303 are loaded with incendiary ammo could they do more damage to the Japanese fighters given the thin skin.
  2. Malaya What If

How are the Japanese when it comes night bombing and operations? I honestly don't know enough here to comment.
  3. Malaya What If

Given the way Park has been pushing things at all levels as well the Air Element is probably in much better nik than it was OTL as well.
  4. TL: UK Overseas Regions [Redux]

There maybe a slight uptick in Coasters in the Caribbean and maybe in Europe and the like to keep ports going as well as maybe in more luxury style ships like cruise ships and some liners. But I don't think it will be enough to save British shipbuilding there is too much tail wagging the dog...
  5. TL: UK Overseas Regions [Redux]

The biggest issue with the British Heavy industry OTL is the perfect storm of union obstructionism, nationalisation, lack of modernization and apathy, though given the push in other sectors, there may be enough impetus to get things done. But I won’t hold my breath.

Whatever happens if US units go up against German Formations without the experince Tourch gave them it will be bloody.
  7. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

Not think of it for high tempo operations anything will have to be launched from Libya but taking the island makes it easier to run anti submarine operations
  8. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

TBH given the British are already picking away at Italy in the med and already taken two islands close to Sicily (Lampione and Pantelleria) one of which wasn’t taken OTL till Husky they are already laying the ground for possible operations against Sicily as well as securing sea lanes. Also I...

I thought ITTL the Italians were trying to keep out of the Eastern Front?
  10. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

Given the rate of successes and fewer losses in men and material isn't Britian better placed to resist unreasonable American and Soviet demands? Also Right now Britian and the Empire is the only force that has had any consistent victories against the Axis? And is keeping the pressure on then at...
  11. Malaya What If

    and here we go!
  12. Why the Chinese play cricket (an Imperial Federation timeline)

Reading back a bit at the idea with the Imperial Guard basically putting the breaks on the German Advance it will make the French Armies failures stand in even starker contrast compared to OTL and will make it so there will probably be an up roar in government at the army.
  13. Why the Chinese play cricket (an Imperial Federation timeline)

A bit of a random idea could the monarch be called into mediate if there is a third deadlock they are the ultimate neutral arbitrator in this case since they aren’t supposed to take sides in political terms so it could be a useful tool.
  14. Why the Chinese play cricket (an Imperial Federation timeline)

Intresting mix of voting I imagine both Entente and German and Austro-Hungarian diplomats will try and court Britain. But Britian could make money hand over fist if she is neutral in the same way the USA did and offer lines if credit to which ever side they favour amd have them economically by...

TBH in regards to churchill I often think that the signal at the start of the war “Winston is back” as much as it boosted the morale for the Junior officers and rating it was also meant as a warning for the senior officers who remembered his record from the First World War.

It would also make the Black Seas Situation a lot more dire for the Red Navy, especially if they had to get out fast without destroying the docks or, worse, leaving behind some ships. Especially since they just lost their major docking and repair ability for the Black Sea with the Fall of Crimea.

Fair I honestly don’t know enough about India‘s cold war history with the UK to really argue with you.
  18. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

TBH as others have said, we will probably see both German, Austria and Czechoslovakia taken by the Western Allies if they play the cards right, which will piss Stalin off in private since it will deprive the Russians of the loot they acquired OTL to help them rebuild and catch up with the...
  19. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

It also will probably mean that Western Allies get further into Germany, maybe all the way to Berlin if they play the cards right. Which will really mess with the post-war USSR with the German experts to loot.
  20. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

Good to see Stalin and his goons are still as blinkered as ever and loves tying his own officers hands.
