"The Archies" as a movie - casting suggestions

Remember Archie and the whole gang from Riverdale?

Remember how they became a bubblegum-rock band in the late Sixties?

Well, maybe you don't actually remember, but anyway:

Suppose Hollywood had made an Archies movie at some point (year of your own choice) between 1969 and, let's say, 1994.

Who would you cast as:
Archie?
Jughead?
Betty?
Veronica?
Reggie?
Moose?
Midge?
Dilton?

An Archie movie would have to be in the 70's (or an ironic 90's parody like the Brady Bunch movie) -- I just can't see it being taken seriously after 1979.

Archie would of course be played by Ron Howard.

(Maybe Henry Winkler as Jughead?)
