WI US intelligence correctly guessed Japanese plans November December 1941

So Japan suffers a major defeat at "The battle of Hawaii". Ships on alert, all water tight doors closed. All guns ready as soon as radar detects the attackers. All US aircraft scrambled. Japanese forces with much less time available because at end of their ranges. Then the Japanese carrier fleet detected by B17s who fly in the direction of the surviving planes.

How much difference would this make to the Phillipines?

Could the Japanese Militarists be discreditted?

Is it possible that Hitler might not have declared war in such circumstances/

Probably he would anyway, but it wouldn't make much difference if he didn't. The USN will start protecting convoys up to the UK, and it's a matter of time before there's a casus belli. Hitler not declaring war in december might butterfly Operation Drumbeat, so is better for the allies.
